I’ve never commissioned a voiceover before. What should I do?

What is your turnaround time?

Once I receive your final script, I can deliver your finished audio in as little as 24 hours (subject to availability).

During busy periods, it can take a little longer (up to 3 days). To avoid surprises, I will confirm my availability when I send you a quote.

If your project is urgent, give me a heads-up in advance that it is coming my way and I can hold time for you, to guarantee a 24-hour turnaround.

What formats will you supply the files in? 

Recordings are typically provided as Wav. files but can be delivered in other formats (eg. MP3/FLAC), if required.

How will you send them to me?

Your choice!

If unspecified, I will send files using WeTransfer (a free-to-use file transfer site).
You will receive a weblink to download your file. This link will expire within 3 days.
If you prefer another delivery method, that’s no problem. Just let me know what you prefer.

Can you record alternative takes?

Of course!

I am happy to provide alternate takes to give you or your client the choices you need.

What if it doesn’t sound the way I’d imagined?

Just let me know.

I’m more than happy to record adjustments and corrections.
I offer one round of corrections free-of-charge. That’s usually enough to do the trick.

Please note: If you decide to make changes to your script, this is considered an alteration to the commissioned voiceover and an additional fee will apply.

I’m not sure whether your voice is the right fit. How can I tell?

I am more than happy to do a test read.

Send me a copy of your script and I’ll record a short sample for you (free-of-charge), so you can try it on for size.

Do you offer timed audio sync?

Yes! I can time my voiceover to sync with your existing video or presentation.

I will typically use Adobe Premier / Powerpoint to do this but other options are available.

How much do you charge?

Voiceover rates vary, depending on the duration of your recording and its usage.
